    An Evening of Songs, Sand and Shaggin’ With Great Entertainment
    If you like warm weather, starry nights, yesteryear’s cars, and beach music, then the tenth annual Blue Ridge Fest 2007 is where you need to be on Friday, May 4 from 6:00-10-30 p.m. There’s going to be a whole lot of movin’ and shakin’ going on when Bill Pinkney & the Original Drifters, The Tams, The Flashbacks and Jim Quick & Coastline hit the Blue Ridge Fest stage!!

    Bill Pinkney & the Original Drifters
    Back by popular demand! "Hailed as the best act of its genre on the music scene today," Bill Pinkney & the Original Drifters are returning to the Blue Ridge stage this year to cast their unique spell of nostalgic music and showmanship that is sure to get bodies swaying and feet moving. After all, this is the group that was responsible for such hits as, "Under The Boardwalk," "There Goes My Baby," "Up On The Roof," "I've Got Sand In My Shoes," and many, many more. This popular group is committed to keeping alive the sounds of the fifties and have been doing so for over fifty years!     The Tams
    Be Young, Be Foolish, Be Happy! What do you say about a group that is synonymous with beach music? Known as both THE TAMS and THE JOE POPE TAMS , this legendary group of entertainers has been entertaining and thrilling audiences for over 40 years with great hits such as "What Kind of Fool" and "Be Young, Be Foolish, Be Happy". The Tams are members of the Beach Music Hall of Fame, the Georgia Music Hall of Fame, The Atlanta Hall of Fame and were voted Outstanding Black Musical Group and 80's Beach Band of the Decade. The legendary Tams are beach music, good times, and rock and roll at its finest all rolled up into one. Make plans to enjoy their fantastic show on May 4th!


    The Flashbacks
    A Real Crowd Pleaser! A talented group of nine professionals from the upstate of South Carolina, The Flashbacks specialize in playing 50's, 60's and Beach Music. The group's unique and versatile musical style covers Rock 'N' Roll…Beach and Soul. Their range includes Motown, shaggin' beach classics and female vocal artists from the wonderful 60's. Members of The Flashbacks have opened for performers such as The Fantastic Shakers, Chairmen Of The Board, The Mighty Tams, featuring the Legendary "Be Young, Be Foolish, Be Happy," Joe Pope, and the famous Billy Joe "Down In The Boondocks" Royal. The Flashbacks are a versatile group of musicians that prides itself on playing music that is enjoyed by all ages. Make plans to see this group on May 4th.

    Jim Quick & Coastline
    Look Who's Back! A returning favorite to the Blue Ridge stage, Jim Quick & Coastline's (formerly known as The Coastline Band) music features an eclectic blend of soul, blues, and rock. Shaggers, beach music fans and everyone who enjoys good toe-tapping rhythms will want to hear this group. With their legions of fans known as Coastline Crazies, the band travels all over performing more than 300 shows a year and have sold tens of thousands of records. If you've heard the Coastline Band before, then you know what a treat you're in for-if you haven't heard them, then make plans now to join us on May 4th! You will be glad you did!
